ABSTRACT

This paper focuses on moral categorization within social policy and its impact on social inequality. Various classification systems within society are linked to moral values in their origins and consequences, and provide the basis for the structure of modern welfare policy. Building on sociologists' research on moral categories, this study explores how these moral categorizations are formed and how they interact with social inequality. In particular, it explores how these moral categories manifest themselves in various categories such as labor, gender, and race. In the South Korean cultural and social context, the interrelationship between moral values and welfare policies has shown continuous development. This paper explores how moral values influence the formation and implementation of social policies, emphasizing their importance in the Korean cultural and social context.
