ABSTRACT

This study used a qualitative case study method to investigate through managerial recognition that maintaining the certification of the HACCP system at workplaces for the disabled can contribute to vocational rehabilitation performance as a means of generating profits through improving the quality of food produced by people with developmental disabilities. It was confirmed that the maintenance of the HACCP system certification at workplaces with disabilities is functioning as a means of increasing sales and generating profits from boosting consumption and promoting sales of food produced by people with severe disabilities. It was also found that wage payments and welfare support for people with developmental disabilities are stable, providing the basis for an independent life. Through this, it was suggested that maintaining the HACCP system certification at workplaces with disabilities could be a means to overcome the limitations of expanding the base of food produced by people with severe disabilities, and suggested that the possibility of doubling the economic independence of people with developmental disabilities could be increased
