North Korea's recent nuclear proliferation has amplified the international crisis in Northeast Asia. The purpose of this study is to analyze nuclear proliferation as an international political issue. After analyzing the relationship between nuclear proliferation and international order aspects, the process of nuclear proliferation will be analyzed along with the transition of regime. Focusing on nuclear proliferation as a threat, this thesis will analyze the cases of success and failure in nonproliferation and classify cases of nuclear renunciation. The results of the analysis will be related in relation to policies in the Korean peninsula
