ABSTRACT

The stoichiometric and double-ordered perovskite Sr2FeMoO6 (SFMO) polycrystaline ceramics were fabricatedby sintering at above 900oC in H2(5 %)/Ar reductive ambient. SFMO polycrystals showed good feromagnetic properties andmagnetroresistance ratios of about 15 % at 8K and 3 % at room temperature. Amorphous SFMO thin films were depositedon LaAlO3 and SrTiO3 single crystal substrates using rf sputtering method with the SFMO polycrystaline ceramic target.Double-ordered perovskite polycrystaline SFMO thin films were fabricated by solid state crystalization by annealing thedeposited amorphous films at above 680oC in H2(5 %)/Ar reductive ambient. SFMO thin films exhibited ferromagneticbehavior. Their magnetroresistance ratios, however, were only 0.3~0.5 % at 8K and disappeared with increasing themeasuring temperature. This was attributed to the absence of magnetic spin tuneling between grains due to the porousstructure and non-stoichiometric composition of the deposited films.Key words Sr2FeMoO6, Magnetoresistance, Sputtering, Film, Perovskite, Feromagnetic, LaAlO3, SrTiO3Sr2FeMoO6 .... ....... ... ... .......... ........ .......... ..... , .. , 305-701(2001. 9. 13. .. ). .
