ABSTRACT

This study proposes a teaching and learning method applicable in the field of early childhood education to foster prospective early childhood teachers in the era of the 4th industrial revolution and convergence. While picture books are widely used in early childhood education, multimedia classes using picture books are proposed as digital program convergence education. While emphasizing digital education (including artificial intelligence) capabilities to early childhood teachers, a new teaching and learning model for digital program convergence is needed. In the era of the 4th industrial revolution, this study proposes a plan to revitalize digital education in early childhood education and proposes a convergence subject teaching and learning model using picture books. Through this, prospective early childhood teachers will strengthen their digital capabilities and contribute to the field of early childhood education through digital program convergence education on the use of picture books in early childhood education institutions.
