AB - The emergence of ChatGPT is projected to bring transformative changes across various domains. This study examined the usage status of ChatGPT and investigated its user acceptance process by applying the Technology Acceptance Model(TAM) and Artificially Intelligent Device Use Acceptance(AIDUA) theory. A survey was conducted among 101 users, including college students and office workers, to analyze usage status and motivations. The analysis revealed three key findings: First, ChatGPT was primarily used for document-related tasks and programming work. Second, utilitarian motivation, rather than hedonic motivation, drove user acceptance. Third, performance expectancy was identified as a crucial determinant of ChatGPT acceptance intention.
