ABSTRACT

This study investigates the key factors influencing the adoption intention of AI solutions among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), with a focus on the differences in perception between demand-side firms (manufacturers) and supply-side firms (solution providers). The research model incorporates information quality, system quality, and organizational environment as independent variables; perceived usefulness and trust as mediators; and adoption intention as the dependent variable. The empirical findings reveal that supply-side tend to exhibit more optimistic perceptions regarding system quality and reliability, whereas demand-side show higher levels of concern related to costs and uncertain returns on investment. Moreover, the two groups demonstrate distinct priorities for AI application and concerns during implementation. This study offers theoretical contributions and provides practical insights for SMEs.
