ABSTRACT

This paper aims to examine the impact of generative AI characteristics on user satisfaction and trust. Data were collected through a survey of users who had experience with generative AI services. Specifically, four characteristics of generative AI (anthropomorphism, personalization, enjoyment, and creativity) were measured to analyze their effects on user satisfaction. In addition, the relationship between user satisfaction and trust was investigated, and the moderating role of AI literacy in these relationships was tested. Partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) was employed for the analysis. The results show that anthropomorphism, personalization, enjoyment, and creativity all have significant positive effects on user satisfaction, while AI literacy was found to moderate the relationship between satisfaction and trust. These findings provide practical implications for service providers seeking to enhance user satisfaction and build trust in generative AI services.
