AB - This study integrated the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), the perceived environmental knowledge– attitude model, and the Value–Belief–Norm (VBN) theory to examine the structural relationships among perceived environmental knowledge, attitude toward resource circulation, subjective norms, personal norms, perceived behavioral control, resource circulation behavioral intention, and self-reported resource-circulation behavior levels using structural equation modeling (SEM). The results showed that perceived environmental knowledge significantly influenced attitude toward resource circulation (β=.45) and perceived behavioral control (β=.39), while subjective norms significantly influenced personal norms (β=.55). Attitude (β=.38), subjective norms (β=.14), personal norms (β=.43), and perceived behavioral control (β=.29) significantly predicted resource circulation behavioral intention, which subsequently predicted self-reported resource-circulation behavior level (β=.50). Resource circulation behavioral intention mediated the effects of these psychological predictors on self-reported behavior. In addition, perceived environmental knowledge indirectly affected self-reported behavior through attitude and perceived behavioral control, followed by behavioral intention, whereas subjective norms indirectly affected behavior through personal norms and behavioral intention. These findings suggest that resource-circulation behavior is primarily shaped through resource circulation behavioral intention, with personal norms serving as a central determinant. However, the results should be interpreted cautiously because the analysis relied on self-reported behavioral data.
