AB - This study analyzed the trends in regional economic development disparities in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of China using three methods: coefficient of variation, logarithmic coefficient of variation, and entropy index. According to the analysis results of the coefficient of variation and logarithmic coefficient of variation, the regional economic development disparities among the 12 cities and leagues of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is gradually widening during the period 2002– 2025. According to the analysis results of the entropy index, the regional economic development disparities among the 12 cities and leagues of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is also gradually widening during the period 2002–2023. In particular, the regional economic development disparities within the eastern region is gradually decreasing, while the gap within the western region is gradually widening. The regional economic development disparities between the eastern and western regions is decreasing slightly. Therefore, considering the results of the three analyzes comprehensively, it can be interpreted that the regional economic development disparities in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is gradually widening during the period 2002–2025.
