This paper suggests that the ultimate goal of counseling and psychotherapy is to 'live well' and it is necessary to pay attention to value and meaning for this. This is because relieving or alleviating psychological pain alone is insufficient to lead a truly desired life. This paper aims at exploration in value and meaning for Christian counseling as a path contributing to change, growth, and well-being in counseling and psychotherapy. For this, this paper first examines the development of discussion and application of value and meaning. ACT in terms of value-oriented approach and the research of meaning of life in terms of meaning are discussed. Next, it is recognized that the two share a lot with each other and can be integrated in terms of theory and methodology. Their commonalities, differences, and clinical implications are studied. Finally, how these discussions can be understood and evaluated from the perspective of Christian counseling, how they can be applied to Christian counseling, and what should be emphasized in order to contribute to true well-being are discussed. First, conceptualization of value and meaning from a Christian perspective, second, establishment and clarification of Christian counseling terminology, third, an integrated study of value and meaning with topics such as well-being, hope, and gratitude, fourth, the need for model development of a concrete process and empirical research.

Many missionary children are born or raised in a variety of countries. 'Third Culture Kids' are defined as the children who grew up in a culture other than their parents' culture. Missionary children are considered a small group belonging to the category of ‘Third Culture Kids’ as they experience multilingualism, multiculturalism, and multi-society. As missionaries and their children have to adapt selectively in the fields of politics, culture, economy, and daily life of the mission country, they have to use the dual strategy of maintaining their faith community while negotiating with the ruling people. In addition, when they return to their home country after spending a certain period of growth in various mission fields abroad, they experience a great deal of reverse culture shock due to cultural adaptation and cross-cultural movement. However, most studies have been conducted on missionary children of school age, and studies on college students and adults started appearing in the mid-2000s. When examining the life of missionary children as a whole, it is important to determine how to help and care for the difficulties they face during school age. However, it is even more crucial to provide Christian care for young adults' multifaceted and comprehensive experiences when essential things in life are decided. Therefore, this study proposes several methods for Christian counseling care for the readjustment of missionaries' children in their young adult period who have returned or re-entered their country.

The purpose of this study is to consider preventive and therapeutic interventions on the Christian counseling perspective by understanding the factors that cause burnout of youth church volunteer and the development process of it. In order to understand the ‘how’ and ‘why’ burnout of youth church volunteer occurred and developed, the factors causing burnout and the development process of three main symptoms were analyzed and generalized. As a result of the study, the factors of it was classified into individual, organizational and sociocultural dimensions, and the main symptoms developed into 'reduced personal accomplishment'-'emotional exhaustion'-'depersonalization’. This was related to the participant's personal factors, the nature of faith and motives for volunteering, and the unique background of the Korean church, characteristics of Millennials, and social phenomena related to youth unemployment. Christian counseling was proposed in 'life, relationship, and self', and it was a practical experience of God's presence through Sabbath, restoration of the narrative of Christ through empathy of God, and restoration of the image of God from self-discord in one's life.
