ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is to explore the process of overcoming anger through faith maturation targeting middle-aged Christians. For this purpose, interview data of eight middle-aged Christians were used for the purpose of this study, and the interview data were analyzed according to the grounded theory section of Strauss and Corbin(1998). As a result of the study, a total of 109 concepts, 37 subcategories, and 19 categories of major themes were derived from open coding. AS a result of axis coding, a paradigm model of the process of overcoming anger through faith of middle-aged Christians was presented, and through process analysis, the process of overcoming anger through faith of middle-aged Christians was presented step by step. Based on the results of this study, empirical evidence was prepared to show that overcoming the anger of middle-aged Christians is a process that takes place gradually based on a continuous life of faith in the faith. Anger is not an emotion that can be overcome or controlled at once, but a process of growth and maturation that can be gradually overcome through the maturity of faith. There is significance in the study. After that, practical implications and suggestions were discussed based on the research results.
