ABSTRACT

Recently, most of clothes waste has been not reused or recycled but treated by using incineration or landfill in Japan. In this paper, reuse station was constructed in order to investigate the effect of reuse station on reduction, reuse and recycle. By operating reuse station actually, citizen participation and a attitude survey of reuse station were conducted. As a result of this paper, about 72% of offered total items were reused. In case of clothes, 60% of offered clothes were reused. Most of citizen (almost 100%) was aware of need of reuse station. therefore reuse station proposed in this paper was very useful method for building resource recycling society and it was estimated that reuse station can be operated with high participation rate.
