Aims

The Journal of Special Education: Theory and Practice is a special-education-related academic journal published by Daegu University Research Institute of the Korea Special Education. Its aim is to establish special education research in Korea by examining and criticizing the theories and reality of special education in order to build a welfare society that guarantees improvement in the quality of life for people with disabilities in line with the globalization and information age following education reforms.

 

Scope & Types

The Journal of Special Education: Theory and Practice is a leading professional journal in the special education field in Korea that publishes research results on the theory and practice of special education. Our journal contributes to the development of special education by promoting research in the special education field through the publication of excellent academic papers and supporting the practice of evidence-based special education.

Our Institute has published the Journal of Special Education: Theory and Practice four times a year (March, June, September, and December), starting with the first issue in December 2000. The Korea Research Foundation selected the journal as a registered academic journal. Researchers can submit original papers to our journal on topics that deal with special education and disability-related theories and practices.
