The Research Institute of the Korea Special Education is ceaselessly researching and endeavoring with the goal to realize an educational community in a creative society of the future that guarantees the right to learn for all students, including those eligible for special education. It has made significant achievements through such endeavor since its establishment in 2006. In 2016, our institute was selected for a support project for university-focused research institutes hosted by the Ministry of Education. Since then, we have been carrying out projects related to universal learning design and brain-based education.
The Research Institute of the Korea Special Education is receiving trust and support from educators and researchers of special education, students eligible for special education, and their families. We will continue doing our best to become a research institute that contributes to the development of special education by actively developing new theories and practices that can be shared with the special education community.
