AB - In the Fourth Industrial Revolution and escalating social conflict, Lifelong education is increasingly needed as a core strategy for sustainable growth and development amid unstable. The purpose of this study is to investigate the preference of citizens and provide implications for the lifelong education space. For this purpose, the study is derived necessary space and composition plan for lifelong education through domestic and foreign case analysis and confirmed the preference of each lifelong education space through a survey.
As a result, the lifelong education space was analyzed in 4 sections and 18 subsections: The healing space, The high-tech space, The complex cultural space, and The intensive learning space. First, the healing space is composed of the green space, communication space, recreational space, rest space and independent meditation space. Second, The high-tech space is composed of 3D printing room, eXtended Reality zone, drone space and Internet of Things(IoT) technology space. Thirdly, The complex cultural space is composed of concert hall, exhibition, workroom for craftsmanship and drawing, music room for listening and playing and photo studio. Fourth, The intensive learning space is composed of library, conference rooms for discussion, individual study room and open study room. According to a survey on preferences of lifelong learning spaces, the first is a library, the second is a green space, and the third is a communication space.
The results of this study are expected to be used as basic data to create an effective lifelong education space that meets the needs of citizens who are the subjects of lifelong learning.
