Review Process


Article 1 The purpose of this regulation is to regulate whether or not papers submitted to “The Journal of the Korean Internet of Things Society” are reviewed and accepted.

Article 2 When the thesis is received by the editor-in-chief, the thesis is sent to the editor-in-chief after confirming the author's membership and payment of the submission fee. Under the leadership of the subcommittee chairperson, the subcommittee editorial board requests the appointment of expert reviewers suitable for the relevant field, and then sends a confirmation of receipt of the thesis to the representative author.

Article 3 The Editor-in-Chief selects three reviewers, sends a thesis review request and thesis request for review, and notifies the chairperson of the list of reviewers.

The judges must return the results of the review to the main body within 21 days in the case of a first review and 14 days in the case of a retrial from the date of receiving the request for review.

If a reviewer does not submit a review opinion within 21 days of receiving a review request, the editor-in-chief urges him first. If he or she does not submit a review opinion within 7 days, the reviewer may be dismissed.

The dismissed reviewers must immediately return the thesis to the plenary session.

Article 4 The judges decide 'publish without revision', 'publish after correction', 'review after revision', and 'not publish', and notify the review result to the editorial board, and the editorial committee will report the review result as follows. proceed together.

Review authority of reviewers: The reviewers have the full authority to evaluate the thesis, and the Society is not responsible for the review results.

Security for review: The reviewers cannot know any information about the author of the paper, and the author cannot know the information about the reviewers. Authors can only see the results evaluated by the reviewers.

Article 5. The classification of the examination results for the thesis and the necessary actions and judgments are specified as follows.

(1) Uncensored publication price: It is judged as possible to publish without modification.

(2) Post-revision publication price: The editorial committee checks whether the revision has been made and judges it as possible for publication.

  In this case, the author is requested to revise the thesis by attaching the result of the thesis examination. The author sends the revised manuscript to the editors, and the editors ask the reviewers to check whether the manuscript has been revised. The reviewers report the results of revisions to the editors again, and the editors finally report them to the chairperson.

(3) Re-examination after revision: Request for re-examination of the contents revised by the thesis contributor, and re-examination is allowed up to two times. In this case, the author is requested to revise the thesis by attaching the result of the thesis examination. The author sends the revised manuscript to the editors, and the editors ask the reviewers to re-examine the manuscript. The reviewers report the re-examination results back to the editors, and the editors finally report them to the chairperson.

(4) Unable to publish: If it is judged that publication is not possible, specific reasons and explanations must be provided.

Article 6 When the publication of the thesis is confirmed, the author sends the thesis file of the final thesis to the editor-in-chief and pays the publication fee. The Editor-in-Chief sends the thesis publication confirmation to the author, specifying the publication right, issue, and expected date of publication.

Article 7 In principle, if the author does not revise or supplement within 2 months of receiving the request for revision, the editorial committee will not publish it.

Article 8 Even if the manuscript is judged to be acceptable for publication as a result of the review, if the manuscript is later determined to be unpublishable due to plagiarism or other reasons, the editorial board will review it again.

Article 9 The reviewers can exchange opinions with the contributors only through the editorial board.

Article 10 If there is a disagreement among reviewers or if the author does not agree with the review opinion, the editorial board decides.

Article 11 The examination fee for the thesis is 15,000 won for general and 20,000 won for urgent. If the request for examination is suspended, the examination fee must be returned. ※ After being selected as a candidate for registration, the review fee is paid after collecting the thesis submission fee.

Article 12 The selection details of the judges shall be kept confidential, and the editorial members and those related to the society must comply with their responsibilities.

Article 13 Matters not specified in this regulation will be handled by the Editorial Board according to custom.

Article 14 This regulation takes effect from Volume 1, No. 1 onwards.

Article 15 The amendment of this regulation takes effect from January 1, 2017.

Article 16 Amendments to this regulation shall take effect from January 1, 2019.
