ABSTRACT

through empirical evaluation and analysis of the training program for the disposal facility No. 6 and to suggest improvement plans. To this end, a survey was conducted on 78 boys subject to disposal No. 6 and 43 facility workers, and the results obtained through the survey are as follows. First, the target boys evaluated the educational programs operated at the disposal facility No. 6 as generally helpful, and in the opinions of each educational program, individual counseling, group counseling, and job and career education showed high satisfaction. Second, the opinions of workers on the training program for the disposal facility No. 6 are as follows. First of all, it was recognized that the educational programs operated at the 6th disposal facility were very helpful to the target boys, and the next important programs to be dealt with at the 6th disposal facility were basic learning and qualification examinations, and vocational/career/employment education. , individual counseling and group counseling were evenly recognized. Based on these results, first, improvement of specialized education programs to strengthen education on misconduct prevention, second, establishment of a system for counseling psychology support and treatment tailored to the characteristics of foster boys, and third, protection for the management of target boys after leaving school. Reorganization of the observation management system and the establishment of an agency exclusively responsible for post-resettlement where job training is possible continuously were suggested. This study has limitations in generalizing the research results because only some of the target boys and workers of the No. 6 disposal facility were selected for research. In the follow-up study, a nationwide study on juveniles and workers in child protective treatment facilities should be conducted to activate middle treatment, and through this, various measures should be prepared to prevent recidivism of target juveniles.
