AB - This study aims to analyze the students' syntax features based on Small Chinese Korean learner corpus. The basic sentence patterns were formed for these purposes and the distinctive features of using these basic sentence patterns were analysed. It was additionally examined how frequently Chinese learners and Korean native speakers use these basic sentence patterns respectively. As the result of this successive studies, Chinese learners most preferably use ‘NP+NP+V’ pattern and it was followed by ‘NP+Adj,’ ‘NP+V', and ’NP+NP' patterns.
Three major characteristics of the sentence errors are able to be indicated like the followings: First, the learners made most of the errors in using postpositions and endings. Second, the learners mainly omitted the postpositions rather than incorrect using of them. As for the endings, the adequate words were not used in most cases. Third, the errors in the arrangement of words did not happen so much than expected.
