Unlike dramatic poetry, poetic drama is a form of a play, based on poetic dialogue with meter, rhythm, metaphors and symbols, creating characters with inner conflict. By structuring dramatic tension of rising and falling in it, a poetic drama become a performance text permeated with poetic sentiments. The poetic features are reflected in a poet Mun Jeong-hee's poetic dramas, such as <The Birth of a Butterfly>, <The Wife with Wings>, <Sea Bream>. Symbols and metaphors for language, character, and action stir up imaginations, and uplift poetic feelings by using the dramatic device. The lyricism-oriented poetic dramas of Mun Jeong-hui has confirmed the potential for modern poetic drama in Korea. Referring to the opinion of Pavis that poetic and Lyricism drama will arrive in the future, it is considered that works of Mun Jeong-hui have opened to the great possibility for poetic drama in Korea.
