ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is to analyze physical and textual characteristics of the Cheongnan-Gongsin-Nokgwon(청난공신녹권). This certificate of national meritorious re- tainer was granted by Joseon Royal Dynasty to Sin Gyeong-Haeng(신경행), Chung-Ik- Gong(충익공). He was rewarded a 3rd grade meritorious retainer at 1604, 37th year of King Seonjo in Joseon dynasty.On the view of physical point, the size of the certificate of national meritorious retainer is 38.0㎝ high, and 162.0㎝ wide. And its format is made by a bull Roll and its calligraphic style is a ‘regular square-hand’ style.On the view of textual point, the certificate of national meritorious retainer describes an award for his contribution to the up-press against a rebellion of Lee Mong-Hak(이몽학).
