ABSTRACT

This study investigated the composition and compilation process of poetry at the Hong Jik-pil (洪直弼)’s manuscript collection Maesanjip(梅山集) (total vol.224) in the National Library of Korea. There are 3,017 poems in vol.1∼12․115․128․139․140․212․213․215∼217, 2,991 poems from vol.1∼12, and 26 poems from the remaining books. The poetry in the final wooden print is 958 poems including duplicates and 438 poems without duplicates, and the poetry only in manuscript is 2,059 poems including duplicates and 1,448 poems without duplicates. The 79 poems of tot.517 poems in printed wooden type book (木活字本) are not in the manuscript, and it indicates that many proofs are missing from the manuscript. And then analysis of poetry’s compilation through duplicated poems showed that vol.8→3, vol.4→9→10, vol.5→9→11, vol.7→6→10.
