AB - This article was written with purpose to study the interrelationship of '-ja(-자) and '-jamaja(-자마자) I have attempted to classify according to whether or not of replacement probability of example sentence of '-ja(-자) and '-jamaja(-자마자). It was classified as two types. The first one is a thing which it is possible to replace '-ja(-자) and '-jamaja(-자마자) each other. It could be classified as two types again. One is almost same as the meaning of two sentences. Another one is slightly different or similar in the meaning of two sentences. However, the other one is thing that it is impossible to replace '-ja(-자) and '-jamaja(-자마자). This is because it is either a wrong sentence or strange sentence.
Subsequently, I studied on the combination restriction of '-ja(-자) and '-jamaja(-자마자). In the subject combination restriction, sentences with '-ja(-자) could be strange when the subject of first clause and second clause is same. In the tense combination restriction, both in '-ja(-자) and '-jamaja(-자마자), the first clause have combination restriction of tense but the second clause of '-ja(-자)' could be combined with present and past tense. '-ja(-자) could be combine only with verb.
Semántic relative of '-ja(-자) and '-jamaja(-자마자) may be connected with category of '-ja(-자). Therefore, ‘-자’ could be substituted with ‘-자마자’, but just a part of ‘-자마자’ couldn't be substituted with ‘-자’.
