AB - This paper aims to study an aspect of cognition about motion verbs ‘가다/오다’ of Korean learners. It shows an aspect of ‘가다/오다’ choice of intermediate learners and advanced learners. ‘가다/오다’ choice of learners is not influenced by learners` mother tongues. Therefore, it is impossible to classify into language patterns. Both learning groups feel more constraint subjective motion expressions than objective motion. ‘가다/오다’ choice of advanced learners are similar to the aspect of usage for Korean speakers. However, advanced learners feel constraint mental motion in usage of ‘가다/오다’. In this paper, I will point out that it is considered as the main person who has cognizance of motion, destination, and main person in motion.
