AB - One of the prominent characteristics of Modern Dance is to formulate A New Principle which make its own form in disregard of all of the traditional demand that has been demanded so far.If both the spirit of the times and a dance are inseparably related each other, a dance in modern times reflects various conditions and provides possibility which can be the ways of seeking after truth requested by the times of divinity and mutual construction. This means that we can be spiritually awakened through dancing, and attain chance that dancing can be a way of life and enlightenment itself. This article indicates that by what kind of principles ?Self-Dance? as a dance of seeking after truth is performed. ?Self-Dance? doesn?t intend to show any special contents. Although I?ve made a description of basic principles and the principles of the practicing course of Self-Dance through this article, this is not a presentation of Self-Dance?s peculiarity but a description of image?s basic principlesA dance is not filling but emptying. The gesture to make up for is confined in limitation of the body to intend something. Only to try to empty oneself is the way to reach accord with all other our neighbors - human beings, nature and the soul. Because each and every time you fill up your empty mind is returning to awareness.
