ABSTRACT

The study investigated the effect of a humanitude care dance program on the elderly’s self-esteem. Theprogram was participated by dividing the experimental group and the control group of 20 elderly menand women aged 65 or older living in Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Jeollanam-do. The program was conductedin advance and after using RES developed by M. Rosenberg. The humanitude care dance program wasconducted for 50 minutes twice a week for 12 sessions. Data analysis was conducted using WindowSPSS 23.0 programs. The analysis confirmed that the humanitude care dance program was effective inself-esteem of the elderly. This study is expected to expand care dance programs to promote mentalhealth of the elderly in the future.
