AB - This study explores the implications of amateur dancers in their dance experiences. Through literaturereview and in-depth interviews with seven amateur dancers, this research distinguishes it fromrecreational amateur dancers by highlighting their artistic approach and communication throughperformances. Amateur dancers acknowledge a high entry barrier to professionalism and feel rejectedby experts. In contrast, they pursue intrinsic values such as self-realization through art. The studyemphasizes the significance of emerging domain of amateur dancers, recognizing it as a distinct socialgroup and promoting collaboration within the dance community.
