ABSTRACT

This study analyzes the principles of performativity by Erika Fischer-Lichte, focusing on rolechanging, community, and contact. The research targets the 「Jinan Dance Media Arts Festival」which has been held for eight years at the ‘Yongdamho Art Museum,’ an idle space in Jinan. The study aims to examine the performance aspects of domestic arts festivals, researching the ‘performative phenomena’ between performers and audiences, and exploring the values and aesthetics that such performative practices signify. As a result, this arts festival holds significant social importance as contemporary performing arts, maintaining close accessibility with audiences in diverse spaces. Through interactions among performers, audiences, and between audience members, various aesthetic interpretations and meanings were generated. These experimental endeavors are deemed crucial contributions to enhancing the value of contemporary performing arts.
