ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is to analyze the demand for choreography in the advertising industry for the development of practical dance capstone design courses. To this end, data were collected and the analysis focused on cases that solved existing practical dance-related problems. We analyzed demand from 36 practical dance-related industrial sites as of August 2023. First, the results of this study confirmed that mobile phone advertisements were the most common in the electrical and electronic industries. In terms of demand by product group, electronics are both tangible and intangible products that focus on image leveraging. Second, it was confirmed that ‘popping’ was more popular among the various genres of street dance, in terms of demand by genre. There was a high demand for characteristics by genre in ‘use of group dance’, and the common emotional image was analyzed as youth and enjoyment.
