ABSTRACT

This study aims to deliver and share an in-depth character dance ballet education program with experts to enhance the quality of ballet education. A ballet expert from the Korean character dance and ballet association planned and conducted this comprehensive program and documented it in the consultation technique journal. Although participants felt skeptical and curious at first, they experienced several outcomes after participating. They took pride in their in-depth approach to ballet education, their rediscovery of dance, and their development as dancers. Participants also had higher expectations for their students’ growth, including enriching the ballet performances through character dance. I hope that all involved will accepted the teacher’s perspective and that in-depth programs such as character dance, based on character dance, will become widespread to improve ballet education. Furthermore, I expect that differentiated programs will emerge in the field.
