This study analyzed dance research trends in the Jeju region over the past 29 years, finding that a total of 25 studies were conducted, published in 21 accredited and candidate journals of KCI. Second, the studies focused on 17 Korean dance, 7 others dances, and 1 dance sports. The research subjects included 14 others, 7 experts, 2 students, 1 professional dancers, and 1 elderly participant. Third, 24 studies in the humanities and social sciences, and 1 was in the natural sciences. Research methods included 18 qualitative, 4 mixed-method, and 3 quantitative studies. Future research is proposed to explore various forms of dance studies, expand the scope of research subjects, and confirm the meaning and value of dance through quantitative and natural science approaches.
