ABSTRACT

The novel A Lantern not only excavated the cultural elements of Tujia folk, written the survival fate and love story of the Yan family for generations at the teasing age. Wu Jiamin’s soul is deeply rooted in the folk cultural memory, he feels the mental state of the lives of ordinary people, explores good wishes of the human, chase life surging spirit trajectory and thus insights into the fate of the roots in the folk on the meaning of existence.
