ABSTRACT

Literary writing on homosexuality has stubborn vitality, and its value not only reflects in the literature domain, but also in the fields of history and anthropology. Bang Han Rim Jeon and Multi-burial of Two Homo Lovers are both eccentric works about literary writing on homosexuality in Korean and Chinese classical literature. The former showing a chaste marriage between two women tried to arouse the collective unconsciousness of the matriarchal society. The latter describing the true love between two men by keeping the promise never marrying women, showed the subversion of the traditional ethics. The two challenges both proclaimed the rebellion against the tradition. Their final failures symbolically achieved the objection of the confession on the rebellion and the return for the tradition.
