ABSTRACT

The aesthetics of ‘repetition(反復)’ is one of the unique cultural forms of the advanced Confucianism. The commonly used expression “at least three times” can be understood as a part of the aesthetics of ‘repetition’ in Confucianism, and shows that our lives and culture are very closely connected with Confucianism. First of all, in this thesis, the value and cultural meaning of the aesthetics of ‘repetition’ are clearly explained, and In the full-scale study, it was divided and considered as follows: Confucius' theory of ‘learning(學習)’, the theory of ‘accumulation of actions(積行)’ of Xunzi and the theory of ‘skill of conduct(處世)’ in the core ideas of Confucianism, ‘Benevolence(仁)’ and ‘Litual(禮)’.
