AB - This study designs, implements, and evaluates a six-week Korean-Chinese mixed team project course using DocuGIS2 in a Chinese Language and Literature major course. Chinese students collected Chinese-language materials via DocuSky while Korean students refined data in Excel and visualized it using DocuGIS2, with both groups contributing their respective linguistic and digital strengths. Grounded in the ADDIE model and Project-Based Learning theory, a post-course survey (N=19) and rubric-based evaluation revealed high positive perceptions: data literacy awareness (M=4.57), DocuGIS usefulness (M=4.55), and regional culture understanding (M=4.53). The lower score in collaborative learning (M=4.33) reflected language communication barriers. Team artifacts demonstrated that learners engaged in genuine cultural inquiry into why regional cultures formed as they did, beyond mere data collection and visualization. This study presents the first empirically documented case in South Korea of integrating DocuGIS2 with Korean-Chinese collaborative projects in a Chinese major culture course.
