ABSTRACT

All the ‘Jeolmyeongshi(Death poems)’ in this study were reinterpreted from the perspective of emotional manifestation. The study reconstructed the emotional layers of Jeolmyeongshi by considering the influence of Balbun(rouse to action). In conclusion, the difference between such layers means that if they can be the mechanism which can lead to certain action after Balbun. Especially, the study tried to examine that the Jeolmyeongshi written by Maejukheon Seong Sam-mun and his contemporaries were produced and read from the different viewpoints of the same object in the subject and the other, and their works had no intention to rouse others to action. That is, it can be called Kongmyeong[空鳴]. In addition, the study tried to show that the Jeolmyeongshi written by Maecheon Hwang Hyun and his contemporaries caused or tried to rouse others to action in the perspective of Ki[起] and Bulki[不起], which can be called Homyeong[呼名]. Of course, it is assumed that all the Jeolmyeongshi are the manifestation of the Spirit of Seonbi or Loyalty regardless of the periodic situations.
