AB - In this paper, on the basis of former researches, I describe the creative value of Gasa literature. The creative value is aimed for the essential and fundamental values, growth of human and self-realization. I have reviewed and organized ‘A principle of the edification of creativity' with the contemporary concepts and characteristics of creativity. It was confirmed that the values as a language structure, literature and classical poetry especially Gasa had been interrelated, amassed and realized as 'literary characteristics and the creative value of Gasa literature'. By attempting to approach from the value of the literary characteristics of Gasa as a historical accumulation, it is investigated that the Gasa literature is worth in order to cultivate the creativity.
The creativity ultimately means the ability to see things and the world newly. It could be comprehended that ‘Newly’ means the ability of changing and developing the world positively and its specific producing. Therefore the 'edification of creativity' is standing for what enlightens creativity inherent in humanity and grow them humanly. It also enables the acquisition of characteristic elements such as the power to practice and know the value of coexistence and autonomy, learning planning ability of self-led, community relations of thinking, leadership, teamwork and responsibility, etc. If we regard it as a acquisition of a view that can be to live in balance between the ego and the world, manifestness of the ability to produce it orderly and edification of the ability to promote harmonious coexistence, literature is the most effectual means, especially classical poetry - Gasa literature is confirmed to be more effective.
The value of Gasa literature as a text of an edification of creativity could be confirmed in two axes, ① a side of understanding and appreciation : the point where connected to the tradition and the characteristics of the traditional Gasa and ② a side of creation and self-application : the point where connected to the modernization and modern succession. It is completed through dualistic and integrative experiences of ① and ②. As a base which led the culture of modern society, it also can contribute to the expansion of the cultural content. On the other hand, this kind of integrative experience has a function of healing which is the natural value of literature. In other words, reading and creating Gasa can make emotional stability and self-reflection, and even self-realization in addition. This would also an ultimate oriented point of creative value. Especially classical literature has a current value because it has kept the many literary devices that was needed in order to overcome the psychological and mental disorders for many years. Thus understanding, appreciating and the writing experience of Gasa has a value that leads to self-realization through restoring a healing and empathy → restoring his nature by classics in a individual modern society.
