ABSTRACT

Understanding Shinjae literature is the basis for understanding Honam literature in the 16th century. The 17th and 18su volumes of Chinese poetry are included in the 『Shinjaejip』. Of these, Owen-shi has three and Chileon-shi has 15. Shinjae mainly wrote Chileonshi. Go-shi also has three moves and Geunce-shi has 15. Based on the internal characteristics of Shinjae poetry literature, it was classified into magnetism, contemplation, and edification. In addition, the literary charac- teristics were discussed by dividing them into three sections according to the classified subject. In particular, as a result of discussions focusing on literary beauty, it was revealed where Sinjaeshi's literary beauty stems from. Shinjae's <Eomang> and <Chunjaamyukan>, which are classified as Jaseong-shi, discussed the fact that ‘distancing’ through familiar shea and fresh composition stands out. Guanjo-shi discussed the fact that high-level symbols acquire literary beauty through twisted structures. Finally, Gyoyu-shi discussed that it is excellent to find a harmony between unfamiliarity and familiarity by using unfamiliar words and familiar words. Shinjae's poetry creation technique can be easily encountered throughout his work. This is the characteristic of Shinjae poetry literature and the joy of reading Shinjae-shi. Shinjae was able to find such outstanding works because he was able to sublimate the cultural influence of Honamsarim in the 16th century to literature. Reflection on the past and longing for a new order were the identities of Honamsarim in the 16th century. In the future, it is suggested that research on the influence relationship between the formation and succession of Shinjae poetry and the contribution of Shinjae poetry to Honam-sarim literature in the 16th century continues.
