AB - 본 저자는 창세기 1-11장에 나온 하나님의 이미지를 연구하여 교차-문화적 대화를 열어보고자 한다. 특별히 창조와 홍수 이야기 속에 나오는 신적 자기 제한 문제에 대한 본문 증거를 끌어내어 보고자 한다. 하나님이 인간 그리고 비인간적 창조물들과 진정한 관계를 맺고자 하는 것이 드러난 본문들을 중요하게 다룬다. 하나님이 그의 대리인을 사용하는 것, 하나님이 폭력과 관련하는 것, 그리고 홍수 이 후 에도 오히려 지속 증가된 폭력에 대한 의미들을 다루었다.
