AB - This article first acknowledges how our society is sensitively reacting to and being influenced by the significant changes brought about by ChatGPT, much like religious communities are also amidst its influence. To facilitate advanced research, Mieke Bal’s narrative theory and structuralist criticism were central in analyzing the motifs, language, and actions portrayed in the compared biblical passages of Saul and the Medium of Endor. Through discourse analysis, the article examins the irony and conflicts inherent in Saul’s inner state and responses. Additionally, it proposes proactive measures that religious community leaders have to prepare for and implement to achieve a harmonious integration of Christianity and artificial intelligence.
