AB - The purpose of this study is to improve the mental health of members of society living in an era of advanced science and technology that is becoming increasingly real. The content of the study is to examine the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution from the perspective of Ecclesiastes, dividing it into three major categories. First, regarding the dilemma of life, even in an advanced society where all living conditions are convenient, a sense of futility in life is inevitable, and we looked for a way to escape this dilemma through the wisdom of Ecclesiastes. As a result of the study, the Ecclesiastes states that we can escape the meaninglessness of life only by accepting life meaningfully as a gift from God that we must cherish. Second, regarding the dilemma of labor, labor is an essential task for humans, and if we reduce it excessively through science and technology, we can easily develop a fatal disease called leisure addiction. The results of the study on this matter show that we can escape this dilemma only by recognizing the importance of labor through the sacredness of labor even in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution. Third, regarding the dilemma of death, even if we extend death through science and technology, it can be meaningless. Accordingly, Ecclesiastes recommends that we can escape this dilemma only by elevating death to the level of heaven. The research method is to recognize the theological community and to compare and examine the life of the Fourth Industrial Revolution era and Ecclesiastes from a canonical perspective based on the final text that we currently have.
