AB - National Gambling Control Commission in Korea want to introduce The Electromagnetic Card System to Gambling Industry. In Electromagnetic Card System, game players should use electromagnetic card whenever they bet in games like horse racing, cycle racing and boat racing. In Electromagnetic Card System, every game players could bet below 100,000 won which is the maximum amount of betting in regulation system of Korean game industry.
This research analyzes the policy effect of Electromagnetic Card System in Cycle Racing. We compare the effects between the department which have to bet only by Electromagnetic Card System and department which could bet by cash or Electromagnetic Card System.
In result, users are decreased in the department which have to bet only by Electromagnetic Card System and the amount of sales are decreased either in the department which have to bet only by Electromagnetic Card System.
But, number of bets and betting amount in the department which have to bet only by Electromagnetic Card System are bigger than in the department which could bet by cash or Electromagnetic Card System. In conclusion, the possibility of gambling addition is higher in the department which have to bet only by Electromagnetic Card System.
So, in Electromagnetic Card System, normal game player would decease the betting in gambling play. But it would be indifferent to the addictive game player.
