AB - Assuming that citizenship is a key capability in the recovery of publicness of our society, this study attempted a perceived approach to the citizenship of the members of society. To this end, this study analyzed and typified subjective perceptions of citizenship by using the subjectivity research methodology Q methodology. According to the study, the perception of citizenship was divided into three types. Type I is citizen's quality and ability emphasizing type for the protection of individual rights, Type II is national institutional device oriented type for individual freedom, and Type III is universal citizenship-oriented type for community members. These perceptions, meanwhile, were found to differ depending on gender, age and level of education. The results of this study show that various policy efforts are needed to improve the quality of citizens in order to secure the rights of citizens. In particular, this study can lead the policy implications that consideration of gender, age and education level is needed in future policy measures
