AB - In ancient times of China a unique kind of poetry-"(a man’s) writing with a woman’s tone"was created by a great many male literators by simulating women. Together with the phenomenon "(a man’s) acting as a woman" in the traditional Chinese operas, it can be called "the quintessence of Chinese culture". A probe into such poetry not only helps comprehend thoroughly the artistic construction of classical Chinese poems, does it help crack the essential code of cultural and psychological heritage of the Chinese people.
