AB - 名和實的關係既是決定認識方式的基本要素, 也可成為解決諸多現實問題的線索｡ 因而在混亂中的春秋戰國時代, 諸子百家不得不關注以名和實的關係爲主的語言觀｡ 對孔子來說, ‘名’是不可變的語言上的理想, 能夠反映出認識對象的本質特點, 所以所謂“實”也應該具有與名相符的面貌｡ 這樣一來, 孔子的名實觀就成為與他的思想一脈相承的語言觀｡ 與之不同, 墨家否定“名”的絕對性｡ 雖然他們也主張名和實需要相符, 可是不相信作為理想的“名”的存在｡ 就他們而言, “實”是可變的, “名”也隨之可變, 如果“名”不變, 卻不能反映出隨時變化的“實”的狀態｡ 因此, 墨家把“名”分為達名､ 類名､ 私名等三種, 而與孔子不同, 這幾種“名”裡面沒有當爲的概念｡本文就根據≪論語≫和≪墨子≫中的有關文字, 考察他們對名實關係的觀點和區別｡
