ABSTRACT

LiBai(李白) followed LiLin(李璘) for stretch his political idealism in the Jinling (金陵) as base. But is LiLin regarded as an enemy and was killed by dispute of the imperial family and LiBai also arrested in the prison of Xunyang(潯陽). LiBai has been released with the help of SongRuosi(宋若思) and became his Chief of Staff. In the process, LiBai & SongRuosi send and receive poem each other, LiBai instead of him, writed <Substitute for Song Zhongcheng petition the king about moving the capital to Jinling, write for him by the Biao (表)>. This sentence is LiBai’s letter that asked moving the capital to LiHeng (李亨)instead of Song Ruosi, but, in fact, more represent LiBai’s political will. LiBai thought that the Jinling could be replace for Chang'an(長安) as the new capital and also considered here as a place to expand more his political will. In this context, Jinling has abundance of several conditions, as the capital, such as the advantages of transportation, and plenty of talented people, more than anything, “It is called a natural fortress and seems like dragon wind around and tiger sit crouched and have naturalness of opening and closing”, for this reason he emphasized the advantages of terrain. He also stressed Jinling as the capital of The Six Dynasties(六朝) still keep the spirit of the Lord “Palace of The Six Dynasties and five blessings in it. The remnants of the grand ambition and Supremacy still remains grandly.” Such a description of the Jinling say about his strong desire of moving the capital. Although this writing was written instead of SongRuiosi, feelings are sincere and earnest, and language was refined. Using a lot of an authentic precedent and dual sentence pattern, pursued homogeneous of format. It expresses will of moving the capital to Jinling with persuasively style. This prose is an important resource in understanding the political ideals of LiBai’s political ideal about Jinling and in interpreting a poem concerning Jinling.
