AB - This is the survey on the actual condition about the managing of headings in library cataloging. KCR4, the standard rules for the library cataloging in Korea, has no rules for the main entry headings and uniform headings. But the cataloging records are not standardized because a lot of libraries in Korea use the main entry headings and uniform headings yet. A structural revision of KORMARC is required in order that all library follow the rules on the KCR's main entry headings. And the rules for uniform heading used until KCR4's policy about the heading is decided according to international trends are needed.
