AB - This study looked at various definitions of reading and examined multiple aspects of reading from the perspective of related disciplines. The study also attempted to isolate specific factors of reading-author, reader, text, and context-and investigated the nature of each factor. The study focused on the communicational aspect of reading, especially on the interaction between the reader and the context.
