AB - In this study, the basic operational plan for Chungnam Representative Library was established to define the function, roles, and operating strategies of the Chungnam Representing Library. A perception survey was conducted among public library users in Chungcheongnam-do and visitors to the provincial government building. Based from the results, Chungnam Representing Library’s roles in collection, organization, preservation, and provision of comprehensive library resources in the city and province was shown to be the highest at 25.65%. Moreover, when respondents were asked about their preferred data resource type for collection and management of the Chungnam Representing Library, printed data emerged as the most preferred with an average of 3.96. Depending on the theme, literature was the most preferred, resulting to an average of 4.27. Lastly, when respondents were asked about the type of service that they expect from Chungnam Representing Library, a library that provides good books from various areas and knowledge information was the most demanded at 27.79%.
