The Modern English Drama Association of Korea was established in 1992 and has since had annual conferences and seminars. The Journal of Modern English Drama has been published since 1992.
The purpose of the association is defined as follows:
○ To provide the presentation and research of modern English drama through individual and group research and international exchanges involved in the modern English drama
○ To develop and publish textbooks
○ To promote the academic exchange and friendship among the members
